This section describes all the methods offered as part of the service.

Before you start

Make sure you have the your account set up and your API key ready to integrate this product. If not, please go through the Onboarding section first.

Choosing which method you use will be based on:

Level of assurance needed
Countries you operate in. You will need to consider configuring age-checking methods by country, depending on the optimum requirements for that region.
User flow preferences.

All methods provide a data minimisation approach. Yoti does not store any data, and neither can you.

The methods that can be added to the Headless Age Verification Service are:

Service	Region	Integration Method	Description
Age estimation	Global	API/SDK	User has their age estimated based on facial analysis from a real-time selfie.
ID verification	Global	API/SDK	User uploads a scan of their ID document and a selfie (optional).
Mobile	Regional	API	User's mobile number is verified against the database.
Database	Regional	API	User’s details are checked against a database.
Electronic ID	Regional	API	User uses their digital ID card to prove their age.
Email address check	Regional	API	User's email address is checked against the email source.
Social security number	USA	API	User’s details are checked against data providers.
